The TLE7263E from Infineon Technologies is a System Basis Chip designed for automotive applications, particularly for CAN-LIN gateway functions. This integrated circuit features a high-speed CAN transceiver with data rates up to 1 MBaud and a LIN transceiver supporting transmission rates up to 20 kBaud.
It also includes dual low-dropout voltage regulators, each capable of supplying 150 mA at 5 V ±2%, suitable for external devices like microcontrollers and internal CAN modules. A 150 mA high-side switch is also integrated for additional power control.
The device supports a 16-bit SPI interface for control and monitoring, along with features like a window watchdog, overtemperature and short circuit protection, and power-on/undervoltage reset. It operates at 13.5V and is housed in a PG-DSO-36-24 package with an exposed pad, designed for surface mounting.
Key functionalities include low power modes with wake-up capabilities via CAN messages or monitoring inputs, making it suitable for modules directly connected to the battery. The bus pins are short-circuit proof to ground and battery voltage.
