The Infineon TLE7251VLE is a high-speed CAN transceiver that serves as the interface between the physical bus layer and the CAN protocol controller. It is fully compatible with ISO 11898-2/-5 standards and supports CAN FD data frames up to 2 MBit/s, ensuring reliable communication in demanding environments.

 

This transceiver provides excellent electromagnetic immunity (EMI) due to its wide common mode range and very low electromagnetic emission (EME). It features robust protection against automotive transients, short circuits to ground, battery, and VCC, as well as overtemperature protection and a TxD time-out function. The TLE7251VLE includes a stand-by mode with a remote wake-up function and wake-up indication on the RxD output.

 

Available in PG-TSON-8 and PG-DSO-8 packages, both of which are RoHS compliant and halogen-free. The PG-TSON-8 package is suitable for automated optical inspection (AOI). Its low CAN bus leakage current in power-down state makes it ideal for mixed-supply HS CAN networks.
