The Infineon Technologies TLE6368R is a versatile multi-voltage power supply system IC designed for automotive applications, supporting standard 12V/24V and new 42V power nets. It is intended to supply 32-bit microcontroller systems requiring different voltage rails such as 5V, 3.3V, and 2.6V.
The device cascades a Buck converter with linear regulators and trackers on a single chip to achieve low power dissipation. The step-down converter provides a pre-regulated voltage of 5.5V with a 1.5A current capability. Three low-drop linear post-regulators offer selectable output voltages of 5V (800mA), 3.3V (500mA), or 2.6V (350mA). Additionally, six independent voltage trackers follow the 5V linear regulator, each capable of driving 17mA.
It features a wide input voltage range from 5.5V to 60V and a stand-by mode with low current consumption (30µA). The TLE6368R includes three independent undervoltage detection circuits for reset or early warning functions and power-on reset functionality. Tracker control and diagnosis are managed via an SPI interface. All outputs are protected against short circuits.
The TLE6368R is supplied in a PG-DSO-36-26 package and is suitable for surface mounting. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 150°C.
