The Infineon TLE5014C16D is a high-performance dual die angle sensor utilizing the Giant Magneto Resistance (GMR) principle. This fully redundant 2-channel solution is developed according to ISO26262 with process compliance to ASIL-D, making it suitable for the highest functional safety requirements in automotive applications.
The sensor provides a 12-bit representation of the absolute angle value on its output, with a maximum angle error of 1° over its lifetime and temperature range. It features internal safety mechanisms with diagnostic coverage greater than 97% for each channel. The device supports multiple interfaces including PWM, SPC, and SENT (based on SAE J2716-2010).
It is qualified according to Automotive Q100, Grade 1, operating in ambient temperatures from -40°C to 125°C. The TLE5014C16D includes an EEPROM for storing configuration data and a 112-bit programmable customer ID. A 32-point look-up table is available to correct for systematic angle errors.
Packaged in a PG-TDSO-16 surface mount package, this sensor is designed for robust angular position sensing in demanding automotive environments.
