The TLE5012BE1000XUMA1 from Infineon Technologies is a Giant Magneto Resistance (GMR)-based angle sensor capable of 360° measurement, including revolution and angle speed detection. It provides a 15-bit absolute angle value with a resolution of 0.01° and a 16-bit representation for sine/cosine values on the interface. The sensor offers a maximum angle error of 1.0° over its lifetime and temperature range when auto-calibration is active.
Designed for automotive applications, this sensor utilizes a Wheatstone bridge output and supports various interfaces including SSC, PWM, IIF, HSM, and SPC. It operates with a voltage range of 3V to 5.5V and has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. The sensor is manufactured using 0.25 µm CMOS technology and is qualified for automotive applications according to AEC-Q100.
The TLE5012BE1000XUMA1 is available in a surface mount PG-DSO-8 package (8-SOIC). It requires an external magnet, which is not included. The sensor is RoHS compliant and halogen-free, with an MSL rating of 1.
