The LITIX™ Basic TLD1314EL from Infineon Technologies is a versatile 3-channel high-side current source driver IC designed for LED lighting applications. It is optimized to drive LEDs with an output current of up to 120 mA per channel, making it suitable for both exterior applications like tail/brake lights and interior applications such as ambient lighting.
The device operates over a wide voltage range of 5.5 V to 40 V and a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. The output current is adjustable via an external resistor and is controlled practically independent of load and supply voltage changes. Key features include reverse polarity protection, overload protection, undervoltage detection, and diagnostic functions for open load and short circuit to GND.
Packaged in a PG-SSOP-14 with an exposed heatslug, the TLD1314EL supports PWM operation via the VS-pin and includes over-temperature protection. Its robust design and integrated protective functions make it a reliable choice for automotive LED lighting systems.
