The Infineon Technologies TLD1313EL is a versatile three-channel high-side current source driver IC, optimized for LED lighting applications. It is designed to control LEDs with an output current of up to 120 mA per channel.
This device is suitable for both exterior automotive lighting, such as tail lights, brake lights, and turn indicators, as well as interior applications like ambient lighting and dashboard illumination. The output current is controlled practically independently of load and supply voltage variations, ensuring consistent LED performance.
The TLD1313EL features a wide operating voltage range from 5.5 V to 40 V and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. It includes essential protective functions such as reverse polarity protection, overload protection, and over-temperature protection, along with undervoltage detection. Diagnostic functions for open load and short circuit to GND are also integrated.
Packaged in a PG-SSOP-14 with an exposed heatslug, the TLD1313EL is designed for surface mounting. It supports PWM operation via the VS- and EN-pins and allows for output current adjustment via an external resistor.
