The LITIX™ Basic TLD1120ELXUMA1 from Infineon Technologies is a versatile 1-channel high-side LED driver IC with an integrated output stage. Optimized for driving LEDs with output currents up to 360 mA, this device is well-suited for various automotive exterior and interior lighting applications, including tail/brake lights, turn indicators, position lights, side markers, ambient lighting, and dashboard illumination.
This linear LED driver operates over a wide voltage range of 5.5 V to 40 V and a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. It features adjustable output current via an external resistor, PWM operation support, reverse polarity protection, overload protection, and undervoltage detection. The TLD1120ELXUMA1 is available in a PG-SSOP-14 package with an exposed heatslug, designed for surface mounting.
Key features include low current consumption in sleep mode and support for PTC resistors for over-temperature protection of LEDs. The device provides precise current control that is practically independent of load and supply voltage variations, making it a reliable choice for demanding automotive lighting systems.
