TL7726CD Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The Texas Instruments TL7726CD is a hex clamping circuit consisting of six identical clamping circuits that monitor an input voltage with respect to a reference value. For an input voltage in the range of GND to below REF, the clamping circuits present a very high impedance to ground, drawing less than 10 mA. The clamping circuits become active when the input voltage goes below GND or above REF, providing a very low impedance path that can sink up to 25 mA.

This device is ideal for protecting CMOS semiconductor devices in environments with large positive or negative transients, such as automotive or industrial systems. It helps safeguard against potential latch-up and provides stable operation for all values of capacitive load with no output overshoot.

The TL7726CD is characterized for operation over the temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and is supplied in an 8-SOIC surface-mount package. Standby power dissipation is less than 1 mW, making it suitable for low-power applications.
