TL3695DR

The TL3695DR from Texas Instruments is a bidirectional differential bus transceiver designed to meet or exceed TIA/EIA-422-B and TIA/EIA-485-A standards. It features advanced low-power Schottky circuitry for high-speed operation with low skew, making it suitable for multipoint transmission on long bus lines in noisy environments.

This transceiver supports a signaling rate of up to 10 Mbps and operates from a single 5V supply with a voltage range of 4.75V to 5.25V. It includes one receiver and one transmitter, operating in half-duplex mode. Key electrical characteristics include a wide common-mode voltage range of -7V to 12V, fault protection from -10V to 15V, and a maximum supply current of 50mA.

The TL3695DR is available in an 8-pin SOIC package, designed for surface mounting. It offers features such as thermal-shutdown protection, driver positive and negative current limiting, and fail-safe high receiver output with inputs open. The part is also interchangeable with National Semiconductor's DS3695 and DS3695A.
