The Tadiran Batteries XOL Series TL-4902 is a high-performance lithium thionyl chloride (LiSOCl2) battery engineered for ultra-long operational life in low-power devices. PROVEN to deliver up to 40-year battery life, this battery is ideal for applications requiring extended periods of reliable power, ranging from several years to as long as 40 years.

With a nominal capacity of 1.2 Ah and a nominal discharge current of 1 mA, the TL-4902 provides a stable voltage of 3.6 V and a high energy density of 730 Wh/Kg. These characteristics enable product miniaturization and ensure extended operational life for critical systems. The battery features a very low annual self-discharge rate of just 0.7% per year, achieved through superior raw materials and proprietary construction that harnesses the passivation effect.

Designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions, the XOL Series batteries operate reliably across the industry’s broadest temperature range, from -80°C to +125°C. Their hermetically sealed construction ensures superior leak prevention compared to crimped seals, making them suitable for demanding applications such as utility metering, environmental monitoring, and other industrial IoT devices. The TL-4902 is a 1/2 AA size cell with various termination options available.
