The TJA1145T/FD from NXP Semiconductors is a high-speed CAN transceiver that interfaces between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. It is designed for automotive applications and provides differential transmit and receive capabilities.
This transceiver supports data rates up to 2 Mbit/s and is compliant with ISO 11898-2:2003, ISO 11898-5:2007, and ISO 11898-6:2013 standards. It features very low power consumption in Standby and Sleep modes, making it suitable for applications requiring minimal energy usage. The TJA1145T/FD also includes a selective wake-up function for CAN Partial Networking and supports FD-passive mode, allowing it to ignore CAN FD frames while in sleep or standby mode.
Advanced power management is integrated, regulating the supply throughout the node and supporting local and remote wake-up functionality. The I/O levels automatically adjust to interface directly with 3.3 V to 5 V microcontrollers. An SPI interface is provided for transceiver control and status information retrieval. Bus connections remain floating when power is off.
The TJA1145T/FD is optimized for in-vehicle high-speed CAN communication and is suitable for networks containing nodes that are always connected to the battery supply line but only active when required.
2 Mbit/s.
ISO 11898-2:2003, ISO 11898-5:2007, ISO 11898-6:2013.
SPI.
Yes, it is FD-passive, meaning it can ignore CAN FD frames while waiting for a valid wake-up frame.
3.3 V to 5 V.
Yes, it supports selective wake-up and local/remote wake-up for CAN partial networking.
Very low in standby and sleep modes.
