This third-generation transceiver complies with ISO 11898-2:2016 and SAE J2284-1 to SAE J2284-5 standards, enabling reliable communication in the CAN FD fast phase at data rates up to 5 Mbit/s. It features improved Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) performance, along with a low-current Standby mode with bus wake-up capability.

 

The TJA1059TKJ can be interfaced directly with microcontrollers operating from 3 V to 5 V. It is suitable for 12 V and 24 V systems and offers predictable, fail-safe behavior, including ideal passive behavior to the CAN-bus when unpowered.

 

Packaged in a 14-HVSON (3x4.5 mm) leadless package, this surface-mount transceiver is designed for automated optical inspection. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
