The TJA1043T,118 is a third-generation high-speed CAN transceiver from NXP Semiconductors, providing a robust interface between a CAN protocol controller and a two-wire CAN bus. It is designed for demanding automotive applications, offering improved EMC and ESD performance, very low power consumption, and passive behavior when the supply voltage is turned off.

This transceiver implements the physical layer as defined in ISO 11898-2:2016 and SAE J2284-1 to SAE J2284-5, enabling reliable communication in the CAN FD fast phase at data rates up to 5 Mbit/s. Key features include low-power management with local and remote wake-up capabilities, bus line short-circuit detection, and battery connection detection. It can be interfaced directly with microcontrollers operating from 3 V to 5 V.

The TJA1043T,118 is suitable for both 12 V and 24 V systems and is AEC-Q100 qualified. It is available in a 14-SOIC package, suitable for surface mounting.
