The TJA1027TK/20,118 from NXP Semiconductors is an integrated circuit designed as the interface between a LIN protocol controller and the physical LIN bus. It is compliant with LIN 2.x, SAE J2602, and ISO 17987-4:2016 standards, making it suitable for automotive sub-networks with baud rates up to 20 kBd.

Key features include very low electromagnetic emissions (EME), low current consumption in sleep mode with remote LIN wake-up capability, and input levels compatible with 3.3 V and 5 V devices. It also offers integrated termination for LIN slave applications and passive behavior in an unpowered state. The transceiver is operational during cranking pulses, functioning from 5 V upwards, and includes undervoltage detection.

This device is available in an 8-HVSON package (3.0 mm x 3.0 mm) with an exposed pad for low thermal resistance. It is pin-compatible with several other NXP devices, including the TJA1020, TJA1021, TJA1022, and TJA1029, as well as the MC33662(B).
