The Bourns TISP7260F3DR-S is a medium and high-voltage triple-element bidirectional thyristor overvoltage protector. It is designed to protect against metallic and simultaneous longitudinal surges. Each terminal pair offers symmetrical voltage-triggered thyristor characteristics, clipping overvoltages and crowbarring into a low-voltage on-state to divert surge current.
Key electrical specifications include a peak off-state voltage (Vdrm) of 200V and a switching voltage (Vs) of 260V. It can handle a peak pulse current (Ipp) of 45A with a 10/1000us waveshape, and a higher surge current (ITSP) of 175A for an 8/20us waveshape as per IEC 61000-4-5. The device features a low off-state current of less than 10μA and a hold current of 150mA. Its on-state voltage is 5V, and it has an off-state capacitance of 39pF.
This protector is housed in an 8-SOIC surface mount package. The patented ion-implanted breakdown region ensures precise DC and dynamic voltage limiting. It is rated for international surge wave shapes, supporting both single and simultaneous impulses. The device is suitable for applications requiring robust overvoltage protection.
