The Bourns TISP7082F3DR-S is a low-voltage triple element bidirectional thyristor overvoltage protector from the TISP70xxF3 series. It features a breakover voltage of 82 V and an off-state voltage of 66 V. The device is rated for multiple international surge wave shapes including 85 A at 2/10 us (GR-1089-CORE), 80 A at 8/20 us (IEC 61000-4-5), and 65 A at 10/160 us (FCC Part 68).
This protector uses planar passivated junctions and patented ion-implanted breakdown region for precise DC and dynamic voltages. It is designed to protect against metallic (differential mode) and simultaneous longitudinal (common mode) surges. Each terminal pair has symmetrical voltage-triggered thyristor characteristics, clipping overvoltages by breakdown clamping and crowbarring into a low-voltage on state.
The device is surface mount in an 8-SOIC package (0.154", 3.90mm Width) with a supplier device package of 8-SOIC. It is UL recognized (File E215609) and RoHS3 compliant.
