The Bourns TISP61089HDMR-S is a dual forward-conducting buffered p-gate thyristor (SCR) overvoltage protector. It is engineered to safeguard monolithic SLICs (Subscriber Line Interface Circuits) from voltage surges on telephone lines, including those caused by lightning, AC power contact, and induction.
This device limits voltages that exceed the SLIC supply rail. Key electrical specifications include a -57V clamping voltage and support for battery voltages down to -155V. It features a low maximum gate triggering current of 15 mA and a high minimum holding current of 150 mA. The TISP61089HDMR-S is designed to meet Telcordia GR-1089-CORE Issue 3 and ITU-T recommendations.
Packaged in an 8-SOIC (210 mil) surface mount configuration, the TISP61089HDMR-S is suitable for various communication line card applications. It is rated for GR-1089-CORE Issue 3 conditions and meets first and second level AC power fault conditions as detailed in the GR-1089-CORE standard.
