The Bourns TISP3082F3SL is a low-voltage dual bidirectional thyristor overvoltage protector designed for ISDN and telecom line protection against lightning and power line transients. It features a precise ion-implanted breakdown region, providing stable breakover voltage and low overshoot during surge events.
The device is rated for multiple international surge waveforms: 80A (2/10µs per GR-1089-CORE), 70A (8/20µs per IEC 61000-4-5), 60A (10/160µs FCC Part 68), 50A (10/700µs ITU-T K.20/21), 45A (10/560µs FCC Part 68), and 35A (10/1000µs GR-1089-CORE). Off-state current is less than 10µA, and typical capacitance is 85pF.
This monolithic protector is fabricated using planar passivated junctions and is available in a 3-SIP through hole package. It contains two elements for dual line protection. The high crowbar holding current prevents DC latchup as surge current subsides, making it virtually transparent during normal operation.
The repetitive peak off-state voltage (VDRM) is ±66 V maximum over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
