The TIP47G from On Semiconductor is a high-voltage NPN silicon power transistor. It is designed for applications such as line-operated audio output amplifiers, SWITCHMODE power supply drivers, and other switching circuits.
Key electrical characteristics include a collector-emitter voltage (VCEO) of 250V, a continuous collector current (IC) of 1A, and a peak collector current (ICM) of 2A. The DC current gain (hFE) is a minimum of 30 at 300mA and 10V, and a minimum of 10 at 1A and 10V. The collector-emitter saturation voltage (VCE(sat)) is a maximum of 1V at 1A collector current and 0.2A base current. The current-gain bandwidth product (fT) is 10MHz.
This series is complementary to the MJE5730 and MJE5731 series. The device comes in a popular TO-220 plastic package, suitable for through-hole mounting. The operating and storage junction temperature range is from -65°C to +150°C.
These devices are Pb-Free and RoHS compliant, making them suitable for environmentally conscious designs.
