The TIP36C is a complementary PNP power transistor manufactured using planar technology with a base island layout. This design results in exceptional high gain performance coupled with a very low collector-emitter saturation voltage. It is rated for a maximum collector-emitter voltage (VCEO) of 100V and a continuous collector current (IC) of 25A.
With a total power dissipation (PD) of 125W at 25°C, the TIP36C is suitable for demanding applications. Its high current gain bandwidth product (fT) of 3MHz and DC gain (hFE) of 40 Typ @ 15A make it effective in amplifier circuits. The transistor operates within a junction temperature range of -65°C to +150°C.
Packaged in a TO-247-3 through-hole configuration, the TIP36C is designed for general-purpose power amplifier and switching applications. Its complementary NPN counterpart is the TIP35C. The device is Pb-Free compliant.
