The TIP31BG is a complementary silicon plastic power transistor manufactured by ON Semiconductor. It is designed for general purpose amplifier and switching applications. This NPN transistor offers a collector-emitter voltage of up to 80V and a continuous collector current of 3A.
The device comes in a compact TO-220 package, suitable for through-hole mounting. Key electrical characteristics include a minimum DC current gain (hFE) of 10 at 3A and 4V, and a Vce saturation of 1.2V maximum at 375mA and 3A. It operates within a junction temperature range of -65°C to +150°C.
