The TIP3055 is a general-purpose NPN bipolar junction transistor (BJT) manufactured by STMicroelectronics. It is designed for power switching and amplification applications, featuring a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 60V and a continuous collector current of up to 15A. The transistor can dissipate up to 90W of power.
Key electrical characteristics include a minimum DC current gain (hFE) of 20 at 4A collector current and 4V Vce. The saturation voltage (Vce(sat)) is a maximum of 3V at 3.3A collector current and 10A base current. The operating temperature range extends up to 150°C (TJ).
