The ON Semiconductor TIP142G is a complementary silicon power transistor featuring a Darlington configuration. It is designed for general-purpose amplifier and low-frequency switching applications. This NPN transistor boasts a high DC current gain, with a minimum hFE of 1000 at 5A and 4V.
Key electrical characteristics include a collector-emitter sustaining voltage (VCEO(sus)) of 100 Vdc, a continuous collector current (IC) of 10 Adc, and a peak collector current of 15 Adc. The power dissipation (PD) is rated at 125 W at a case temperature of 25°C. The Vce saturation voltage is a maximum of 3V at 40mA base current and 10A collector current.
