The TIP100 is a complementary silicon power transistor from ON Semiconductor, designed for general-purpose amplifier and low-speed switching applications. This NPN Darlington transistor offers a high DC current gain, with a typical hFE of 2500 at 4.0 Adc.
Key electrical specifications include a collector-emitter sustaining voltage of 60 Vdc and a continuous collector current rating of 8 Adc. The device exhibits a low collector-emitter saturation voltage, with a maximum of 2.5 Vdc at 8.0 Adc. It is constructed monolithically with built-in base-emitter shunt resistors.
The TIP100 is housed in a TO-220 package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It has a maximum power dissipation of 80 W at a case temperature of 25°C and 2 W at an ambient temperature of 25°C. The operating temperature range is from -65°C to 150°C (TJ).
