The THS6002CDWP from Texas Instruments is a high-speed transceiver IC featuring two high-current drivers and two high-speed receivers. This device is ideal for asymmetrical digital subscriber line (ADSL) applications, supporting the high-peak voltage and current requirements. The drivers offer a 140 MHz bandwidth with a 25-ohm load and a 1000 V/µs slew rate. The receivers provide a 330 MHz bandwidth and a 900 V/µs slew rate.
Designed as current feedback amplifiers, both the drivers and receivers are built for high slew rates to achieve low total harmonic distortion (THD) in ADSL systems. The THS6002CDWP operates with a wide supply range of ±4.5 V to ±16 V, or 9V to 32V. It is available in a 20-HSOIC package with an exposed pad, suitable for surface mounting.
This transceiver is an improved replacement for parts like the AD816 or EL1501. Separate power supply connections for each driver are included to minimize crosstalk, enhancing signal integrity in demanding communication systems.
