The Traco Power THN 15WI series offers high-performance DC/DC converters with exceptional power density. The THN 15-2411WI model provides a 15W output power with a nominal 5V output voltage and a maximum current of 3A. It accepts a wide input voltage range of 9-36 VDC, making it versatile for various applications.
This converter boasts an efficiency of up to 86% and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with derating. Its ultra-compact encapsulated, shielded metal package measures just 1.0" x 1.0" x 0.4", occupying significantly less board space. Features include remote On/Off control, Over-Voltage Protection (OVP), Short-Circuit Protection (SCP), and Under-Voltage Lockout (UVLO).
Typical applications include battery-operated equipment, mobile instrumentation, and distributed power architectures in communication and industrial electronics where PCB space is critical. The I/O isolation voltage is rated at 1600 VDC.
