The TGL34-22A by Diotec Semiconductor is a unidirectional Zener-type transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed for general purpose over-voltage protection. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 18.8 V typical and a maximum clamping voltage of 30.6 V at a peak pulse current of 4.9 A (10/1000 µs waveform). The device can handle a peak pulse power dissipation of 150 W and a steady state power dissipation of 1 W at 25°C ambient.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum forward voltage of 3.5 V at 10 A and a peak forward surge current of 20 A (60 Hz, 8.3 ms half sine-wave). The junction temperature range is -50°C to 150°C, with typical thermal resistance of 75 K/W junction-to-ambient and 40 K/W junction-to-terminal.
