The Traco Power TEN 8-1212 is an isolated DC/DC converter module from the TEN 8 series, delivering 8 watts of output power. It accepts a 9 to 18 VDC input (12 V nominal) and provides a regulated 12 V output at up to 666 mA. The converter achieves 88% typical efficiency and features remote On/Off control, overcurrent protection (OCP), and short circuit protection (SCP).
Designed for commercial ITE (Information Technology Equipment) applications, the module operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with derating. It comes in a shielded metal DIP-24 package with an insulated baseplate, measuring 32.0 mm x 20.3 mm x 10.2 mm. The through-hole mounting style and industry-standard footprint simplify PCB integration.
The built-in EMI input filter meets EN 55032 Class A without external components. The converter is RoHS3 compliant and carries a 3-year product warranty from Traco Power.
