The TEMT6000X01 from Vishay Dale is a silicon NPN epitaxial planar phototransistor designed as an ambient light sensor. It comes in a miniature, transparent 1206 surface-mount package, measuring 4 x 2 x 1.05 mm.
This sensor is specifically adapted to human eye responsivity, with a peak sensitivity at 570 nm and an angle of half sensitivity of ±60°. Key electrical characteristics include a collector emitter voltage of 6V, a collector current of 20mA, and a power dissipation of 100mW at 25°C.
