The Infineon TDA21520AUMA1 is an integrated power stage solution for DC-DC converters, suitable for DDR memory arrays and low current voltage rails. It combines a low quiescent current synchronous buck gate-driver IC with control and synchronous MOSFETs, along with an active diode structure.
This device operates with an input voltage range of 4.25 V to 16 V and a VCC supply of 4.25 V to 5.5 V, providing an output voltage range from 0.225 V up to 5.5 V. It is capable of delivering an output current of up to 20 A and can operate at switching frequencies up to 1.5 MHz, enabling high performance transient response and miniaturization of external components.
The TDA21520AUMA1 includes on-chip MOSFET current sensing for accurate reporting. Protection features include IC temperature reporting, over-temperature protection with thermal shutdown, cycle-by-cycle over-current protection, high-side MOSFET short detection, and VDRV and bootstrap under-voltage protection. The package is optimized for PCB layout and heat transfer.
It is housed in a small 4 mm x 5 mm x 0.9 mm PQFN package and is lead-free and RoHS compliant.
