TDA21460

The Infineon Technologies TDA21460 is a high-efficiency integrated power stage, part of a new generation of 25V devices optimized for CPU core, GPU, and DDR memory power delivery in server, telecom, and datacom applications.

This device combines advanced low-voltage MOSFET technology with Infineon's latest driver design, integrated into a compact 5x6x0.9 mm³ PQFN package with a 0.45 mm pitch. It supports an input voltage range of 4.25 V to 16 V and an output voltage range from 0.25 V up to 5.5 V, capable of delivering up to 70 A.

Key features include dual edge trim dead time for improved peak efficiency, internal MOSFET Rds(on) current sensing with temperature compensation for high accuracy, and cycle-by-cycle over-current protection with a programmable threshold and fault flag. The programmable constant current limit OCSET allows users to set a specific current limit, while UVLO protection ensures stable operation during system startup. The TDA21460 operates at switching frequencies up to 1.5 MHz, achieving peak efficiencies greater than 95%.

It is optimized for 5 V drive and offers fast switching technology for enhanced performance. The device also features low current consumption during operation (2.5 mA ICC) and a low IQ (< 200 µA) in PS4 (deep sleep mode) capability.
