The Microchip Technology TCN75AVOA713 is a digital temperature sensor designed for accurate temperature monitoring. It converts temperatures within the range of -40°C to +125°C into a digital word, offering a typical accuracy of ±1°C and a maximum accuracy of ±2°C across this range.
This sensor features a user-selectable resolution from 0.5°C down to 0.0625°C, providing flexibility for various applications. It operates over a wide voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and utilizes an industry-standard 2-wire, I2C-compatible serial interface, allowing up to eight devices on a single bus. The device consumes a typical operating current of 200 µA and a low shutdown current of 2 µA.
Key features include programmable registers for temperature sensing applications, configuration of power-saving modes like Shutdown and One-shot measurement, and the ability to set temperature alert output and hysteresis limits. The alert output can be configured as an active-low or active-high comparator output or a temperature event interrupt output.
