The TCN75-3.3MOA713 from Microchip Technology is a serially programmable digital temperature sensor designed for ambient temperature monitoring. It operates across a wide temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, with a typical accuracy of 0.5°C. The device supports a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and features a standard 2-wire serial interface, compatible with industry-standard protocols.
This sensor provides programmable trip points and hysteresis, with power-up defaults allowing for stand-alone thermostat operation. The thermal event alarm output can function as an interrupt or a comparator. It supports up to eight TCN75 devices on the same bus for multizone monitoring. The TCN75-3.3MOA713 is available in an 8-pin SOIC package, suitable for surface mount applications.
Key features include shutdown mode for low standby power consumption and 5V tolerant I/O at 3V VDD. The sensor is ideal for thermal protection in CPUs, fire/heat alarms, and general thermal management in electronic systems such as computers, telecom racks, and power supplies.
