TCA9509MRVHR

The Texas Instruments TCA9509MRVHR is a versatile 2-bit level-translating buffer and repeater designed for I2C and SMBus applications. This device facilitates voltage-level translation, supporting a wide operating range from 0.9V to 5.5V on side A and 2.7V to 5.5V on side B. It is capable of handling I2C bus speeds up to 400kHz.

Key features include an active-high repeater-enable input, eliminating the need for external pull-up resistors on the lower-voltage port-A. The TCA9509MRVHR offers open-drain I2C I/O and 5.5-V tolerant inputs, supporting mixed-mode signal operation. It ensures lockup-free operation and accommodates both standard and fast-mode I2C devices, supporting multiple controllers. The buffer supports arbitration and clock stretching across the repeater and maintains high impedance on I2C bus pins when powered off.

Available in an 8-X2QFN package measuring 1.6mm x 1.6mm, this buffer/repeater is suitable for surface mount applications. It operates within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
