The Toshiba TC74AC139FN is an advanced high-speed CMOS 2-to-4 line decoder. Fabricated with silicon gate and double-layer metal wiring C2MOS technology, it achieves high-speed operation comparable to bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining low CMOS power dissipation.
Key features include a propagation delay of 5.9 ns at 5V, low power dissipation with a quiescent current of 8 μA (max) at 25°C, and high noise immunity. The device operates over a wide voltage range from 2V to 5.5V and offers symmetrical output impedance capable of driving 50 Ω transmission lines.
This decoder is pin and function compatible with the 74F139. The active low enable input can be used for gating or as a data input for demultiplexing applications. When the enable input is held high, all four outputs are fixed at a high logic level, independent of the other inputs. All inputs are equipped with protection circuits against static discharge or transient excess voltage.
The TC74AC139FN is supplied in a TSSOP16 package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its design makes it suitable for various digital logic and demultiplexing tasks.
