The Microchip Technology TC4422CAT is a high-current buffer/driver capable of driving large MOSFETs and IGBTs. It features a high peak output current of 9A and a wide input supply voltage operating range from 4.5V to 18V. The device provides fast rise and fall times, with a typical 30 ns rise time with a 4,700 pF load. It also boasts short propagation delays of 30 ns (typical).
This gate driver is designed for robustness, being latch-up protected and able to withstand 1.5A output reverse current. It is immune to upsets except for direct overvoltage or over-dissipation and can handle up to 5V of ground bounce without damage or logic upset. The inputs can be driven directly from TTL or CMOS logic, with 300 mV of hysteresis for noise immunity.
