The Microchip TC427CPA is a dual CMOS high-speed driver. It translates TTL/CMOS input voltage levels into rail-to-rail output voltage swings, with outputs within 25 mV of ground or the positive supply. This device features a low output impedance of 6 Ω and can swing a 1000 pF load to 18V in 30 nsec.
Key electrical characteristics include a wide operating supply voltage range of 4.5V to 18V. Input current is a low 1 µA, allowing direct interface with CMOS/bipolar switch-mode power supply control ICs. Current consumption is 0.4 mA when inputs are low and 8 mA when inputs are high.
The TC427CPA is suitable for applications such as switch mode power supplies, pulse transformer drive, clock line drivers, and coax cable drivers. It is available in an 8-Pin PDIP package, designed for through-hole mounting.
This driver is pinout equivalent to the DS0026 and MMH0026 devices. It also offers latch-up resistance, withstanding over 500 mA reverse current, and ESD protection up to 2 kV.
