The T5V0S5-7 is a unidirectional surface mount TVS diode from Diodes Incorporated designed for ESD and transient voltage protection in general purpose applications.
Key specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 5V, a maximum clamping voltage of 27V at 15A peak pulse current (8/20µs waveform), and a peak power dissipation of 260W. The device offers excellent clamping capability with fast response time and is rated for ESD protection up to ±30kV contact and air discharge per IEC 61000-4-2.
Housed in a compact SOD523 (SC-79) surface mount package, the T5V0S5-7 is suitable for space-constrained designs. It features a moisture sensitivity level of 1 (unlimited floor life) and operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to +150°C. The component is fully RoHS compliant, halogen and antimony free, and has a matte tin annealed terminal finish over an Alloy 42 leadframe.
This device is ideally suited for protecting sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge and other voltage transients in a wide range of consumer, industrial, and communication equipment.
