The SZSMS05T1G is a quad unidirectional TVS diode from onsemi, designed for ESD and surge protection in voltage-sensitive equipment. It features four separate Zener-based channels in a compact SC-74 surface-mount package. The device offers a reverse standoff voltage of 5 V and clamps at 15.5 V while handling peak pulse currents up to 23 A (8/20 µs) with a peak power rating of 350 W.
ESD protection exceeds 25 kV under the Human Body Model and meets IEC 61000-4-2 standards with 15 kV air discharge and 8 kV contact discharge. Additionally, it withstands 40 A EFT (5/5 ns) per IEC 61000-4-4 and 23 A surge (8/20 µs) per IEC 61000-4-5. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications and carries a UL flammability rating of 94 V-0.
Operating over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C, the SZSMS05T1G is suitable for harsh environments. Its typical capacitance of 400 pF @ 1 MHz makes it appropriate for data line protection without significant signal degradation. The part is RoHS compliant and Pb-Free, supporting lead-free assembly processes.
