The SZNUP2105LT1G is a dual bidirectional TVS diode (ESD protection diode) from On Semiconductor, designed to protect CAN transceivers in high-speed and fault-tolerant networks from ESD and other transient voltage events. It is part of the NUP2105L series and is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications.
Key electrical specifications: reverse working voltage of 24V, breakdown voltage range 26.2V to 32V at 1 mA, clamping voltage of 40V at 5A and 44V at 8A (8/20 µs waveform). Peak pulse current rating of 8A and peak power dissipation of 350W. Low reverse leakage current of 100 nA at 24V and low capacitance of 30 pF at 1 MHz enable high-speed CAN data rates.
The device is Pb-Free, Halogen Free/BFR Free, and RoHS compliant. It meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD Level 4 (30 kV), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT (40 A), and IEC 61000-4-5 lightning (8 A). It also complies with ISO 7637-2 and ISO 7637-3 pulses. The SOT-23-3 package (TO-236) is surface mount and operates over -55°C to 150°C junction temperature.
Applications include automotive networks (low and high-speed CAN, fault tolerant CAN) and industrial control networks such as Smart Distribution Systems and DeviceNet.
