The SZMMBZ6V8ALT1G is a dual monolithic silicon Zener diode designed for transient overvoltage protection. It is part of the SZMMBZxxxALT1G series from On Semiconductor, qualified for automotive applications. This device provides 24W peak pulse power (1ms) and a maximum clamping voltage of 9.6V at 2.5A peak pulse current. It offers high ESD protection: >16kV HBM, >400V MM, and ±30kV IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge. The dual junction common anode design allows protection of two separate lines in a single SOT-23-3 package. The device is RoHS compliant and has a flammability rating of UL 94 V-0. It is suitable for voltage and ESD sensitive equipment such as computers, communication systems, and medical equipment. The SOT-23-3 package is surface mount and available in tape and reel packaging.
