The SZMMBZ18VALT3G is a dual common anode Zener diode designed for transient overvoltage protection in automotive and other applications requiring AEC-Q101 qualification. It features a nominal Zener breakdown voltage of 18V and a reverse standoff voltage of 14.5V. With a peak pulse power rating of 40W and a peak pulse current of 1.6A, it provides effective clamping at 25V. The device offers high ESD protection: >16 kV HBM, >400 V MM, and ±30 kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4.
This dual diode configuration allows protection of two separate lines in a single SOT-23-3 package, saving board space. The device is surface mountable with gull wing leads and is supplied in tape and reel (10,000 units per reel). It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The part is Pb-free and RoHS compliant, with flammability rating UL 94 V-0.
Primarily used for voltage and ESD sensitive equipment, it is suitable for computers, printers, communication systems, and medical equipment. The automotive-qualified version ensures reliability in harsh environments.
