The SZMM5Z5V6ST5G is a 5.6V zener diode from On Semiconductor's SZMM5ZxxxST1G series, part of the 500mW SOD-523 tight tolerance series. Designed for voltage regulation in space-constrained applications, it offers a nominal zener voltage of 5.6V with a tight tolerance of ±2.14%. The device is rated for 500mW steady state power dissipation on an FR-4 printed circuit board, with a maximum forward voltage of 900mV at 10mA. Reverse leakage current is limited to 1µA at 2V reverse voltage, and the maximum impedance (Zzt) is 40Ω.
Packaged in the small SOD-523 surface mount package, the SZMM5Z5V6ST5G features 100% matte tin lead finish and is RoHS3 compliant and Pb-Free. It meets MSL 1 requirements for unlimited floor life and has an ESD rating of >16kV per the Human Body Model (Class 3). The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
With the SZ prefix, this device is AEC-Q101 qualified and PPAP capable, making it suitable for automotive and other applications requiring stringent change control. Typical applications include voltage regulation in cellular phones, handheld portables, and high density PC boards where space is at a premium.
