The SZESDR0502BT1G is an ESD protection diode from onsemi designed to protect voltage sensitive components from electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage. It features an ultra-low typical capacitance of 0.5 pF (0.25 pF when used as a bidirectional line), making it ideal for high-frequency signal lines such as USB 2.0 and antenna applications. The device offers excellent clamping capability with a maximum clamping voltage of 15V and a fast response time of less than 1 ns.
This diode can protect two unidirectional lines or one bidirectional line. It is rated for IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 ESD protection with ±9 kV contact discharge. The SZ prefix indicates automotive qualification per AEC-Q101, making it suitable for automotive and other applications requiring stringent quality control. The device is Pb-free and RoHS compliant.
The part is housed in a small SC-75 (SOT-416) surface mount package, ideal for designs where board space is at a premium. It has a maximum power dissipation of 150 mW on FR-5 board and operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The lead finish is 100% matte tin, and it meets MSL 1 requirements.
