The SZESD8451MUT5G is a low capacitance ESD protection diode designed by On Semiconductor for protecting high-speed data lines from electrostatic discharge. It is part of the ESD8451 series and is qualified for automotive applications with the SZ prefix, meeting AEC-Q101 standards.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse working voltage of 3.3V, a typical breakdown voltage of 7.9V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 13.7V at 3.7A (8/20µs pulse). The device features ultra-low capacitance of 0.3pF maximum (I/O to GND at 1 MHz), making it suitable for high-speed interfaces such as USB 3.0 and eSATA. It provides ±15kV contact and air discharge ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2.
The diode is bidirectional with a single channel and is not intended for power line protection. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and is stored at -55°C to +150°C.
