SZ3C1

The SZ3C1 is a 1V Zener diode from Diotec Semiconductor, part of the SZ3C series. It features a nominal zener voltage of 1V with a tolerance of ±5% and a power dissipation of 3W at an ambient temperature of 50°C. The device is designed for voltage stabilization and regulation in commercial and industrial applications.

Electrically, the SZ3C1 offers a maximum impedance of 0.5 ohms and can handle non-repetitive peak power dissipation up to 60W for pulses less than 1 ms. The operating junction temperature range is -50°C to 150°C, with a storage temperature range of -50°C to 175°C. The thermal resistance junction-to-ambient is typically 33 K/W when mounted on a PCB with 50 mm² copper pads, and junction-to-terminal resistance is 10 K/W.

Mechanically, the diode is packaged in a DO-213AB (MELF) surface-mount package, weighing approximately 0.12 g. The case material is UL 94V-0 rated, and the device is moisture sensitivity level 1 (unlimited). It is supplied on 13-inch tape and reel with a standard quantity of 5000 pieces per reel. Solder conditions are 260°C for 10 seconds.

Compliance includes RoHS with exemption 7a, REACH, and Conflict Minerals. For overvoltage protection applications, the manufacturer recommends the TGL41 series TVS diodes. The SZ3C1 is not automotive qualified by default, but AEC-Q101 compliant (-Q) or qualified (-AQ) suffix options are available upon request.
