The Littelfuse SZ1SMB28AT3G is a Zener Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect voltage-sensitive components from high voltage, high energy transients. It features a peak power dissipation of 600W at 1ms pulse width and a working peak reverse voltage range of 5.0V to 170V for uni-directional applications.
This TVS diode offers excellent clamping and high surge capability with a fast response time typically less than 1.0 ns. It has an ESD rating of Class 3 (> 16 kV) per the Human Body Model and low leakage current of less than 5.0 µA above 10V. The device is intended for UL 497B type protection.
The SZ1SMB28AT3G is supplied in the cost-effective and highly reliable DO-214AA, SMB package, suitable for surface mount applications. Its automotive qualification (SZ Prefix for Automotive) and AEC-Q101 qualification make it ideal for use in demanding applications such as communication systems, automotive electronics, numerical controls, process controls, medical equipment, business machines, power supplies, and many other industrial and consumer applications.
