The SURA8160T3G is an ultra-fast recovery rectifier from On Semiconductor, designed for high-voltage, high-frequency rectification and freewheeling diode applications. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 600V and an average rectified forward current of 1.0A at TL=145°C (2.0A at TL=110°C). The forward voltage is typically 1.25V maximum at 1A and 25°C, dropping to 1.05V at 150°C. Reverse recovery time is 75ns, enabling efficient switching in power supplies and converters.
The device offers robust ESD protection with Human Body Model >4000V (Class 3) and Charged Device Model >1000V. Thermal resistance is 24°C/W junction-to-lead and 216°C/W junction-to-ambient on a standard FR-4 board. Operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 175°C.
Packaged in a DO-214AC (SMA) surface-mount package, the SURA8160T3G is Pb-free, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant. It is part of the SURA8 series, which is AEC-Q101 qualified for automotive applications. The compact SMA package with J-bend leads is suitable for automated handling and space-constrained designs.
