The STSPIN32G4 is an integrated 3-phase motor controller designed for driving brushless motors. It incorporates a triple half-bridge gate driver with a 1A sink/source current capability and VDS monitoring for power stage MOSFETs. The device also embeds an STM32G431 microcontroller, offering up to 170 MHz clock frequency, 128 kB Flash memory, and various peripherals including ADCs, DACs, and communication interfaces like I2C, SPI, and UART.
Power management is handled by an embedded flexible power management structure, including a VCC buck converter and a 3.3V LDO linear regulator. Protection features such as thermal shutdown, short-circuit, overload, and UVLO are integrated. The operating temperature range is extended from -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for industrial and home automation applications, home appliances, servo drives, and robotics.
This controller facilitates reduced PCB area and Bill Of Materials by integrating control and power stages. It supports simultaneous control of two motors from the same MCU and offers a standby mode for reduced power consumption. On-chip debug support is available via SWD or JTAG.
